The Oregon CUSP shoreline represents a "best of" attempt to create a continuous Mean High Water Shoreline for use in GIS analysis and inventory work. Whenever possible the Oregon CUSP shoreline references a mean-high water shoreline based upon vertical modelling or image interpretation, using both water level stations and/or shoreline indicators. CUSP is primarily built from LiDAR NGS National Shoreline data for the outer Pacific ocean coast and Oregon Lidar Consortium data for the inner estuarine coast.
